Walking around the block!

Today I went for two walks, we had a wonderful time. My mom and daddy were so proud of me especially when I learnt to sit before we crossed the road so quickly! I went out once in the day and once in the night and I was not scared at all.

I AM SO BRAVE!

First day of school

Today was my first day of school. My teachers name is Pam and she is really nice but really strict, everything I think a teacher should be. Me and my humans arrived to class and met my other classmates.

  1. Charlie a shipoo who is a little nervous and was having a bad hair day, we will be friends
  2. Bandito a big chocolate lab who is really friendly but stepped on my food by accident and mad me cry. ouch.
  3. Blaze and smart husky who I think I will be friends with..
  4. Dexter a Doberman who is having some behavioural issues, it is his second time in the class. He is working through some aggression so I am nervous around him.

This class we worked on sitting...I did a pretty good job and my humans were really proud of themselves. Then we went for a walk around the store and I had a great time exploring...
My homework is to practice sitting and my humans will practice stopping me from biting their pant legs. LOL.

The best parts of my day were meeting my new friends, being told how adorable I was over and over again. Meeting some children who gave me LOTS of attention..I really liked that.

Tonight I am chilling chewing on my bone and enjoying my Kong.

Night, Night.

One week anniversary

It has been one week since we have had our little Paddy home. We are in love!!! He is a fab puppy who is loving and lively and is so smart...I don't mean to brag but it is so true! Our little boy is pretty much house trained and already plays a great game of fetch! Here are some things we have learnt in our first week of being dog owners.

1. After a nap if we don't get our little boy fast enough, expect a small accident.

2. Puppies are exhausting but worth every minute

3. Being the alpha from the beginning is important

4. Puppies are like little sponges and want to learn

5. My husband is a dog lover, he didn't even know that!!!

Here are some pictures of our little boy from the past week.

Puppy stuff

Today I picked up the last of the puppy stuff before Paddy arrives. Here is our list so far of what we have

Crate - donated by Nicole, THANKS!
playpen for keeping puppy safe
baby kong
chew stick
three different toys
bed
leash
id tag
food and water bowl
tinkle bells
snacks
pooppy bags and bag holder

WOW what a list!!!! and I know it will continue to grow as our puppy needs new things.
It is very funny I have always been an animal lover but I have never been a puppy owner and I am in love already! I love this little boy before I have even gotten him home.

Puppy arrives on Friday!

Senior reunited with stolen dog - Toronto Sun - Dan Ilika

It wasn’t quite a dog day afternoon, but one Toronto senior is glad his canine hostage crisis has come to an end.
Retired engineer John Hildon, 84, curled up in his favourite recliner Sunday with Goldie laying across his lap as the pair spent the day together following a bizarre dognapping on Friday night.
“I was taking Goldie for a walk...on Ellesmere (Rd.) going towards Victoria Park (Ave.),” said Hildon. “This guy ... looked down (at the dog) and said, ‘Who’s dog is this?’ And I said, ‘I don’t know,’ jokingly. So, this guy grabs the dog.”
Hildon, who lives near Ellesmere and Victoria Park, said the man ran across the street against a red light with his eight-year old Bichon Frise in his arms and jumped on a bus.
Hildon said he called Toronto police when he got home but thought the dog was gone forever.
Detectives were assigned to the case and used the cameras on the bus the alleged suspect boarded to track down the missing mutt, according to Hildon.
Hildon said he endured a gruelling 24-ho
urs as the fate his cuddly companion remained uncertain.
It wasn’t until officers brought Goldie home Saturday night that he could relax.
“It was one of the happiest moments of my life,” Hildon said with tears in his eyes. “When I saw the (police) coming to the door with him I couldn’t believe it.”
Goldie was rewarded with a pork chop dinner and plenty of affection from Hildon.
Hildon said that while he will continue to walk his dog along the same route, he did learn a valuable lesson.
“I’m gonna keep him on a six-foot leash now,” he said with a laugh.

A 36-year old Toronto man has been charged with theft and possession of stolen property, according to police.

new blog

This blog is to follow the first days, months and years of my Puppy Paddy's life.
He is our first doggie and we are very excited to bring him home.
Paddy is a black mini Goldendoodle. I love him already. I am very tired tonight and don't have much to say but had to get this started. :)
Here are some photos of us and Paddy when we went for a visit.
